Self Taught Face Painter and SFX Makeup Artist Kara Williams

My name is Kara Williams and I am a face painter and special furnishings creative person located near Houston, Texas. I merely recently started experimenting with painting and SFX, and information technology has turned into a very influential hobby of mine. I have fabricated a lot of friends along the manner and learned a lot of cool techniques.

I become a lot of my inspiration from dissimilar artists online, my husband's drawings and art, and sitting around pondering what weird affair I can do next. I, along with a lot of others I've seen, really get a kick out of the SFX makeup. The possibilities are really countless. Any your heed can come up with. Things can definitely get messy, but information technology is always and then fun!

What I do on any given twenty-four hours depends on what I'm in the mood to practice. Whether I want to be cute or creepy that twenty-four hour period. I will say, that I feel the SFX is slightly less challenging than face painting, but it is definitely challenging in its own mode. It takes do and patience to perfect it, and believe me, I have to be a perfectionist. The more attention to detail, the more believable your work will be!

I definitely plan to continue with this journey and improve to the best of my abilities. I have surprised myself thus far with certain projects I take done, and honey that I have been able to break out of my shell and share my work with anybody else. ~ Kara Williams

Sailor moon pokemon makeup look by Kara WilliamsThis one was inspired by a recent makeup trend going around. I accept been a big fan of Sailor Moon since I was a little daughter! This took probably ii-3 hours to be honest. It was very modest, and my hand was shaking so bad trying to get the pixels to look correct! When I was done, I was very happy with the outcome, especially her wand.

Cracked Face Makeup Illusion by Kara WilliamsI've always wanted to give the illusion my face is cracked, and this one took some work! Information technology took me a couple of tries to get it correct. I used Snazaroo face up paints and black eyeshadows for this wait.

Mask face painting by Kara WilliamsThis one was inspired past 30 Second to Mars. I have been a big fan of theirs since I was a teen! They wear this mask in their "Beautiful Lie" music video. I used Snazaroo face paints to accomplish this wait, as well as some brown eyeshadows to brand the illusion that it is sitting higher up my face up. All of this is my face besides, no actual mask was involved.

I actually surprised myself with this wait. This was ane of the first realistic looks I did. I am very agape of spiders and then it really creeped me out! I used Snazaroo face paint and blackness eyeshadow to complete this expect. Information technology took me a couple of hours. I wanted to requite the illusion that in that location were actual spiders crawling on me!

Coraline's other mother face painting by Kara WilliamsThis look was inspired by Coraline'south other mother! The buttons are real, merely everything else was done with Snazaroo'south blackness confront pigment and blackness eyeshadow. This i took me a petty over an hr to complete.

Snazaroo face paints and some broken Christmas by Kara WilliamsThis is definitely one of my favorite looks. Inspired past my extreme love for Christmas, and how overwhelmed my hubby must experience when I want to put the tree up after we are done trick or treating on Halloween night! I was really proud of this one. I used liquid latex, stage blood, some eyeshadows to give a bruised look, Snazaroo face paints and some cleaved Christmas ornaments I had laying around the house.

Dark Angel look body painting by Kara WilliamsThis i was for a Halloween shoot I did! I went with a nighttime Angel expect. The blackness horns are attached to my forehead with liquid latex. I also used Snazaroo face up paints to achieve this look, equally well as chunky blackness glitter to complete the goth but glam look!

This was a lot of fun, just also very challenging! I used Snazaroo face paints along with some blackness eyeshadow for this look. It took me about 3 hours!

New Years Eve sfx makeup look by Kara WilliamsThis was a fun expect!! I wanted to requite the illusion that I had a long night the night earlier, on New Years Eve. I dear to pigment my confront mostly, simply I've been enjoying doing some special furnishings makeup as well! It took about 45 minutes to exercise this await! I definitely plan on doing more of these in the time to come.
